SFA organised an 8-day Sports Extravaganza for school kids from December 24th to 31st, 2015 at the DY Patil Sports Stadium, Nerul.

Through this venture, SFA brought together students, their parents, coaches, sports academies, talent scouts, physiotherapists and other sporting personalities under one roof where aspirant sportsmen competed in 9 different Olympic sports (Basketball, Handball, Volleyball, Swimming, Squash, Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis and Judo), conducted and operated by premier administrative bodies of those respective sports under guidance of coaches and video feed that was stored for future reference, talent identification and improvement.

The 8 day SFA Mumbai Sports and Education Week also hosted training and information sessions for the students where they learned from experts and professional sportsmen on the essence of becoming a champion.

SFA 2016

More than 35000 kids came together as Navi Mumbai hosted one of  India’s largest school sports event where these kids, aged between 8-16 are participating in as many as 25 sporting events.

With an aim  to host and organize events that strengthen the grassroots of Indian sports ecosystem the Sports For All 2016 saw an unprecedented increase in participation and enthusiasm from children.

A six-fold rise in participation came with an increase in the number of events from 9 to 25
