The stadium was filled with the echo of this chant. Thousands of people cheered ecstatically for their favorite players and teams. The series witnessed millions of people following the game online from the comfort of their houses. The 16th Edition of the DY Patil series was unlike any of the ones before. With seat clutching action, an unexpected turn of overs and unbelievable cricket action, the series was a hit! DY Patil T20 series is no longer just a game but has transformed into a platform for young aspiring cricketers to achieve their dreams. A place where heroes became champions.

U2 Mumbai Concert
Irish band U2 finally makes it to India for the very first time, on the last leg of their two-year world tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their legendary album “The Joshua Tree”. The band landed in Mumbai on Thursday evening to perform at the DY Patil Stadium on the 15th of December. The enormous 45,000 bucket seater stadium was packed with people flocking over to the venue from not only different cities but also different countries. The event attracted many superstars like Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Hritik Roshan, Anurag Kashyap, Sachin Tendulkar, and many others, who have been eagerly waiting to see the band perform live in their hometown. Frontman Bono, guitarist The Edge, drummer Larry Mullen, and bassist Adam Clayton opened the concert with their classic Sunday Bloody Sunday followed by songs like “Pride” and “Give Peace a Chance” The theme of the concert: peace, harmony, and non-violence resonated throughout the concert which was refreshing, keeping in mind the number of riots and chaos taking place recently. The Grammy-award winners are known for campaigning for human rights and social justice and when they came to India, it was no different, they highlighted topics like woman bravery, safety and empowerment when a small tribute was paid to Union Minister Smriti Irani, author Arundhati Roy and journalist Gauri Lankesh among others.

The DY Patil Stadium was echoing with cheers and songs on Saturday night, with fans going crazy on seeing their favorite artists performs live on stage. The plethora of people with flashlights on, singing to the lyrics and lighting the whole stadium up like the 4th of July, was truly a sight to behold. The first-ever edition of the Oneplus Music Festival which was held on November 16, 2019, truly left behind a mark in the hearts of the fans. The music festival was a grand success with splendid performances from national and international singers worldwide. The Music festival saw a crazy and enthusiastic crowd of over 25,000 fans who traveled hours to enjoy and be a part of the concert. The event marked the debut of the international pop singer Dua Lipa and the much-awaited comeback of the gorgeous Katy Perry after a long gap of 7 years. The music festival was hosted by the energetic and eccentric VJ Bani who engaged with the crowd effortlessly.

Which is the World’s Biggest Guestlist Festival with a mission to unite the world of music and sport, to educate 100,000 children on the Magic Bus Program.
