The D Y Patil Stadium was echoing with cheers and songs on Saturday night, with fans going crazy on seeing their favorite artists performs live on stage. The plethora of people with flashlights on, singing to the lyrics and lighting the whole stadium up like the 4th of July, was truly a sight to behold. The first-ever edition of the Oneplus Music Festival which was held on November 16, 2019, truly left behind a mark in the hearts of the fans. The music festival was a grand success with splendid performances from national and international singers worldwide. The Music festival saw a crazy and enthusiastic crowd of over 25,000 fans who traveled hours to enjoy and be a part of the concert. The event marked the debut of the international pop singer Dua Lipa and the much-awaited comeback of the gorgeous Katy Perry after a long gap of 7 years. The music festival was hosted by the energetic and eccentric VJ Bani who engaged with the crowd effortlessly.

The concert lineup started with performances from popular local bands like Aswekeepsearching – a rock band who pumped up the audience with their tunes and then came the renowned indie rock band The Local Train who played some of their famous tracks like Vaqif, Mizaaj, and Khudi. Oneplus surprised the audience with an addition of the beautiful  Dhvani Bhanushali who sang and danced to her hit songs Vaaste, Dilbar, and Pyscho Saiyaan, leaving the audience in awe.

Entered one of the most beloved singers, Amit Trivedi with his talented team who not only performed some of the all-time favorites but also send out meaningful social messages to the audience about environment safety, animal extinction, etc which touched the hearts of many.

A new fan base was created when an upcoming artist named Black Light from Texas managed to grab the attention of all the folks with his impressive rap performance. Making her debut performance in India, Dua Lipa rocked the stage the second she stepped foot upon it. She started off with her classic ‘Blow Your Mind’ and continued with her most prominent songs like One Kiss, Scared To Be Lonely and IDGAF with a playful warning before. Her act ended with the song that shot her to a new level of fame- New Rules. Due to more time left on the clock, Dua came back on the stage with yet another beautiful song of hers before finally waving her last goodbye to Mumbai. After that energetic performance, came up our very own Delhi Boy – Ritviz who set a great mood for the audience, making them sway to his soothing rhythms of Jeet, Sage, and Barso while finishing on a high note with his chartbuster hit song, Udd Gaye. His performance geared up the fans for the much-awaited act of the night. The crowd gave a huge roar when their eyes landed upon the one and only Katy Perry in a neon green jumpsuit with a matching mic.

The stage was set on fire with her exotic dance moves and colorful rainbow and robotic setup. Her quirky attitude and witty comments made the audience laugh more than once. The eventful night came to an end with her hit song Fireworks with an actual firework show which left the audience completely mesmerized and breathless.
